Week 1: DEVELOPMENT: Brainstorming film ideas for prompt/planning/ideation/tasking
Week 2: PRE-PRODUCTION: Decide genre, pick exemplar films or scenes to mimic, build a plot diagram, start script writing, create a mood board, storyboard on paper with camera position and movement notes, audio notes, and blocking detailed, sound design and music style decided
Week 3: PRE-PRODUCTION: Analyze script beats to remove “AND THEN’s”, begin location scouting, get permission to use spaces, take stills of storyboarded cells, audition lighting, audition framing (camera angles, foreground, background, lens choice), audio test recording in spaces and take notes, create a shot list, start music composition, and create a production schedule
Week 4: PRODUCTION: Film rough draft
Week 5: PRODUCTION: Get feedback, plan for revisions, re-film
Week 6: PRODUCTION: finish re-filming
Week 7: POST-PRODUCTION: Edit, possible ADR, add sound, and add music
Week 8: POST-PRODUCTION: Polish and publish
